COURSE TITLE: US History B
PREREQUISITES: World History A, Economics & US History A
LENGTH: 1 Trimester
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
US History III will give an overview of the major social, political, economic and foreign policy events in US history since 1945. This course will focus on the causes and effects of the Cold War on American foreign policy with respect to the Korean War and Vietman War. This course will also focus on the Civil Right Movement, the age of conformity in the 1950’s, the changing role of women in American society, the pendulum of political changes in the country since 1968 as well as the end of the Cold War and the causes and effects of the Persian Gulf War.
