COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course promotes the idea that physical fitness can be fun as well as healthy. You don’t have to train for the marathon or run the four-minute mile to qualify as fit. With simple guidelines for developing a personal fitness program students learn to become fit. Students will be encouraged to put on athletic shoes and hit the road! Classroom activities help students compare and evaluate fitness programs. Nutrition programs will be developed and components of a healthy diet will be translated into real food choices.
