COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students will be introduced to the industry of agriculture and it’s scope and importance to each of us in a global society. Included will be an introduction of the FFA as part of the Agriscience Program. Students will learn about the origin, domestication, and classification of food production animals. Digestion, nutrition, care, and reproduction will all be covered through hands on applications. Students will also be introduced to the meat industry and identify wholesale and retail cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and chicken.
