COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this course, students explore the role stories play in capturing the emotions, experiences, and expectations of life. Stories are the frame that humans have used to understand what has happened, what is happening, and what may happen. Students will read a variety of genres and gain an appreciation for the methods writers use in telling their stories. Specifically, we will be using stories to gain a firmer understanding for the Holocaust and its aftermath. Students should leave the course with a life-long understanding of the role stories play in their lives.
