PREREQUISITES: Art I, Digital Photography & Students Grades 10-12
LENGTH: 1 Trimester
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to introduce students to the art of black and white photography. Students will learn basics in composition, the mechanics of a single-lens reflex camera, film developing, and darkroom printing. Computer, digital, and Polaroid cameras will also be used. Students will explore various types of photography, such as outdoor, studio, and action shots, as well as the history of photography. Students will also experiment with digital images and manipulating them with a painting program on the computer. Polaroid color photography will also be explored. Students may need to purchase additional film and printing supplies.
